How Did Owkus Start?
I am Ishan, and I started Owkus over 6 years ago in Guwahati. Before this, I was building websites, fixing WordPress performance issues, and handling technical SEO for businesses across the USA, Canada, and other countries.
Working with international clients taught me what good web development looks like — fast sites, clean code, and honest pricing. That is when I noticed that businesses in India, especially in Guwahati and the Northeast, were either paying too much for mediocre work or getting websites built when they did not need one.
So I decided to handle this myself. Owkus was built around one idea: give Indian businesses the same quality I was delivering internationally, at much more affordable prices.
